MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Department of Mechanical Engineering

Our Department of Mechanical Engineering established in the year 2006. The departments are accredited by NBA in the year 2019 and have an intake of 60 students per year. The department is having five doctorates and eleven experienced faculty members with post graduate degree in various disciplines from CAD, Production Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Engineering Design, Industrial Engineering and Energy Engineering. The department is equipped with state of the art laboratories. Our Collegiate Club is functioning with various on campus and off campus activities. As part of CSR activity, all the faculties of Mechanical Engineering are contributing to Assisi Snekalaya – AIDS orphanage center with Rs.5000 worth of grocery every month. The department has dedicated team of eminent faculty members and laboratories with Centre of Excellence. The department has obtained permanent Affiliation of Anna University, Chennai. It provides good infrastructure facilities, dedicated faculty members and academic ambience for the budding engineers to gain sound technical knowledge in the field of Mechanical engineering. The department conducts Workshops, Symposiums, Seminars, Conferences and Training Courses to enrich the knowledge of students in the latest technologies. Value added courses for students are conducted every semester in Creo, Fusion360, Solid works, NDT, CNC Milling and Turning.

Mechanical Engineering is one of the broadest engineering disciplines, and plays a significant role in enhancing safety, economic vitality and overall quality of life throughout the world. Mechanical Engineering is a professional Core engineering discipline that deals with the design, analyze, manufacture and maintenance of mechanical systems.

The objective of the department is to prepare students for a successful career in Industry, Research and Academics to meet the needs of growing technology. Mechanical Engineering department provides students with a sound foundation in the mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals to compete with world class engineers with a commitment to profession and ethics.

I am certain that our students will prove to be successful managers and administrators throughout the world where an engineering approach to problem solving and ability to independent learning is highly valued.

Our department has a highly qualified team of experienced faculty, good infra-structure and state of the art lab facilities. We are striving hard continuously to improve upon the quality of education and to maintain its position of leadership in engineering and technology.

Our faculties are continuously attending various training programs, publishing research papers, books and filing patents. Our department has been conducting seminar / conferences to keep the faculty and students abreast with the latest developments in the field of technical education

CAD LABORATORY - CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

We do conduct hands on training on Center of Excellence in CAD with ARK info solutions Bangalore, Sanko Gosei, Japan for training and Placement assistance on every semester. At the end, student will undergo one real time projects based on their choice. The project will be evaluated with performance of cost and efficiency in order to get improves the student practical knowledge.

VALUE ADDED COURSE

Value added courses in Creo, Fusion360, Solid works, NDT, CNC

Milling and Turning. Training will be conducted every semester in order to acquire the knowledge in Design field.

Value added course on Pro-E creo was regularly conducted by ARK solutions Pvt Ltd for 2nd and 3rd year Students.

Project based learning on Ansys was regularly conducted by ARK solutions Pvt Ltd for final year students.

ABOUT SAE INDIA STUDENT MEMBERSHIP

SAE INDIA has over 22500 student members in more than 190 collegiate clubs located all over India. Collegiate clubs provide practical exposure to a professional engineering society as well as focal point for campus engineering programs and projects. Applicants must be college / university students pursuing studies leading to any bachelor, masters, or doctoral degree in Engineering. SAE INDIA membership is not open to school students.

SAE INDIA Collegiate clubs offer student members organized programs and activities, fellowship, and leadership experience. SAEINDIA student members are also entitled to many of the services available to SAE INDIA’s regular members.
